Made from a powder-coated aluminum, this lifter features a locking bar to avoid inadvertent closing of the cover. Fits most spas up to 96" wide and arrives 80% assembled. A: Yes they will lift heavy covers. They can also mount to the deck as well.
Q: I have an Arctic spa with a "Cast Core" cover. It weighs about 40-50 pounds. Will this cover lift work?
A: As long as your cover has a hinge connecting the two halves, this lifter will work for you. 50 lbs can easily be handled by this unit.
Q: What side is the lock bar located on and is it possible to move it to the other side?
A: It is located on the left side of the lifter. The only way to move it from a corner, is to move the lifter to the opposite side. That would make the lock bar in the opposite corner located on the tub.

A: Unfortunately, no. The Covermate 3 requires a minimum of 72 inches in length and width. The Jetsetter is approximately 62 inches wide. The Cover Valet with it's two independent arms will prove as a suitable alternative.
