TIP: Nature2 recommends the use of MPS (Cense/Leisure Time Renew/Spa Choice Re-Energize) as its primary accompaniment. They also mention that sodium dichlor (Spa 56 chlorinating granules) is used during start-up after a water change to get a sanitizer residual in the water and "as needed". We have found that using sodium dichlor every 7-10 days is a good complimentary shock.
